The Path Towards Wellness

Do you have a wellness routine?

Many of us have this vision of the “perfect” wellness routine. We have all these feelings of excitement and commitment trying so hard to make this wellness routine work. But the truth is, planning a wellness routine may feel almost effortless while, partaking in wellness practices can become very difficult in the present moment.

For us personally, wellness has been a long process, a lot of trial and error and even a few frustrating moments along the way. However, all this time and effort has paid off because now we a wellness routine that perfectly fits our needs and schedule. Throughout this post we are going to share some of wellness techniques very suiting for the new school year!

How our Wellness journey began…

Ever since we started University, we quickly realized how hectic and stressful school had become. Our schedules were over overloaded, the workload was becoming much heavier than ever before, so, making time for wellness became as absolute necessary aspect to our everyday lifestyle.

What does a wellness routine look like?

There are so many ways and practices to take care of your mental health and well-being. The trick is finding what truly suits your needs and helps you accomplish your wellness goals. For us, meditating in the morning is the best way to calm the mind and body, and it even provides an extra boost of energy to take on the busy day ahead.

“Meditation” is a very broad term. Sometimes many may think that meditation is partaking in yoga or listening to calming music. However, this is not the case. Meditation can be any practice that calms to human mind, body and spirit. As for us, meditation is much more. It’s taking time to read, or even going outside to play a sport.

Here are some of our fav wellness practices ↓↓

1) Reading about Wellness

For some of us who find self-care difficult to implement in everyday life or who don’t know what wellness tips suit our desires, the little guide called “Be Kind to Your Mind”. This book is a complete life saver!

This book may seem small, but it is very relatable! It is filled with so much practical advice and stress levitating quotes that is truly uplifting. What makes reading this book so inspiring is that made us think outside the box. It made us dive deeper into thinking about our inner thoughts and feelings. It allowed us to recognize what makes us stressed and giving us the opportunity to consider that there are so many endless ways to obtain optimal health and well-being.

We completely 100% recommend this book to anyone ready to begin a wellness routine! It’s definitely perfect for any student like us, who sometimes feel overwhelmed and just need an extra boost of motivation!

Better yet, our favourite part this book is that it continues to spread the important message of mental health. Mental health should never be left unaddressed or ignored. There is always a way to help our mental health. But it all starts with a little bit of optimism and time!

2) Using a Guided Journal

Another fantastic way to start your day is to get a wellness journal. Journaling has become a large trend over the last few years. You can get a journal from anywhere and there are so many designs to choose from. However, some journals don’t provide anyone with a place to start. A book with a bunch of lines is not that intriguing or motivating.

Our Special Journal…

The journal that we use is not just any journal but, it is a guided journal that is interactive! This journal is filled with many fun activities. Some pages allow you to write down your feelings, and motivations while other pages allow you to take part in wellness challenges!

We have absolutely loved using this journal so far as it also puts our ability to recognize our mental health state to the test! Even further, it even puts us outside our comfort zone and allows us to try some new activity everyday.

We hope you found our wellness tips and tricks helpful! Yet again, you can do pretty much anything to help improve your mental health, but establishing healthy, positive habits is the most important takeaway we hope to advocate throughout this post. These small, simple tasks of wellness can most certainly help you shape your own wellness path.

We need to a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own “To Do” list.
